The project consisted of (1) extension of the Novato Sanitary District sewer main from our neighbor's property onto our property and (2) a lateral from that point connecting to our house.

In response to my invitation to bid, Linscott Engineering Contractors sent a concise proposed Contract clearly listing the several items making up the proposed Scope of Work and the cost of each. There was no question of what was included in the scope, what was excluded, and of how additional items might be added to the scope later by negotiation. The total cost, by comparison with bids by other contractors, was attractive, and we accepted the Linscott proposal.

The project was done quickly and in an organized, impressive manner. At the point of maximum effort, we saw a dozen workers and several items of equipment, all simultaneously at work at three points along our narrow, 80-yard-long driveway. Safety equipment in use, no accidents, no confusion, no traffic jams, no one idle, all workers at work, each taking care to do his work right. We were pleased with the result.

At the conclusion of the project, we were invoiced for the contract amount. A small amount of additional work done to restore appearance of our neighbor's property was not charged for.
